Steps for Creating a tutorial
Now that you know more about creating tutorials, at least for a PB&J, you're going to write a set of directions in the form of a tutorial. This will be a helpful skill you can use often as a Digital Ambassador. You'll later create a video tutorial.
There aren’t too many steps to create a good tutorial. This module breaks the major steps down into:
Plan Your Tutorial, including Know Your Audience
Create Your Tutorial
Test and Revise Your Tutorial
Share Your Tutorial
A Tutorial Template is provided below that you can download and edit. You will use this template throughout this module. Complete each section of the template as directed.
The sections in the template are color-coded to make it easier. When you're done, make a copy and delete the sections in red before you share it with your learners.
We've also provided a completed example at the bottom of this page.
