Test, Edit, and Revise

Many product developers include a step where members of the prospective audience test a new product before it is launched. You can do the same with your tutorial. Test your tutorial on someone who is not familiar with the subject to ensure that it is easy to follow and understand. Someone from the target audience is ideal, but that might not always be possible. You might have to use another Digital Ambassador. Take note of any areas where your test user gets confused or has difficulty following the instructions. Then improve them based on their input.

Questions you can ask test users:

• Can you use the tutorial without any help (like from you)?
• What was easy to understand?
• What was confusing, if anything?
• If you could improve one thing, what would it be?
