The Digital Ambassadors CourseDigital Citizenship

Final Product

You will curate resources you can use to help older adults understand different areas of digital citizenship as you go through this module. Your final product for this module will be a portfolio of the resources you've collected. You'll collect 2-3 examples on each of the topics addressed in this module. Those topics are:

  • Protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
  • Protecting yourself from scams and phishing
  • Creating strong passwords
  • Navigating social media safely

The examples you find could include some of the examples used in this module, examples you find online, or examples you create. Be sure that at least one example is something you found or created.

You may want to consider using a tool like Google Slides, Google Sites, Office 365 resources, a YouTube Playlist, or some other way to compile this information. It just depends on what your district supports and approves. Ask your teacher/coordinator for approval on your portfolio tool.

As the Digital Ambassador team, consider adding all of your materials to a shared drive or team website so you can benefit from each other's work. Each person should contribute at least 2-3 items if you do this as a group project. This portfolio can include any of the following:

  • Examples of phishing emails;
  • Examples of scams;
  • Videos you find online or micro-PD videos that you create;
  • Documentation or an infographic about creating strong passwords and what you should not share online;
  • Examples of appropriate and inappropriate use of social media;
  • Social media privacy settings; and/or
  • Any other materials you find that you think might be appropriate to work with adults.
