How to Be a Better Searcher

How you search really does matter. The words you use and their order are both important. You can also add information to improve your search results.

Try this search with someone you are working with. You should know that some may not know the band, "The Who." You may not know the band, "The Who!" You can find out about them by searching the Internet.

Activity: Try this Search on your own:

• Search for "the Who," who, and "a who"
• What were the results?

Notice how the results for a very similar word yielded dramatically different results.
