Checklist: Reflection on Working with Adults

Hopefully after working through this module you understand that young adults can effectively work with older adults and help them learn many new things. The topics you cover may vary, but being professional and establishing a working relationship will be the same. Your professional skills will benefit you throughout life regardless of the career you pursue.

Take a moment to reflect on the objectives of this module. To demonstrate being able to work with adult learners, consider how comfortable you are with each statement.

• Identify and incorporate strategies to demonstrate professionalism; and
• Establish a professional, working relationship with older adults.

Post a short reflection about your understanding of what adult learners need and how you can meet those needs while acting as a Digital Ambassador. What will the adult learners you work with know to expect from you? How will you help them understand that you are working through a professional, working relationship?
