Discussion: Reflecting on Designing a Tutorial

Take time to reflect with others on what you’ve learned about designing a tutorial. Remember, this module broke down the major steps of designing a tutorial to:

1. Plan Your Tutorial, including Know Your Audience
2. Create Your Tutorial
3. Test and Revise Your Tutorial
4. Share Your Tutorial

You were able to complete some of these steps previously. You may also be able to use past projects to complete some of these steps. For example, if you are designing tutorials for the same audience over and over, you already Know Your Audience.

Which steps did you enjoy most? Which steps do you feel you do well? Share with others in the group and determine if some Digital Ambassadors prefer to do some steps over others or are especially talented at some steps. Then, if you work as a team, you can divide up the process.
