Activity: Complete an Audience Analysis

An Audience Analysis describes the characteristics of your learners and specific needs they may have. An Audience Analysis can be created for a group of learners in a similar situation, like a senior citizen facility. An Audience Analysis can also be conducted for individuals.

You can complete an Audience Analysis by surveying potential learners or observing them. If you can’t interact with them in these ways, you can still research the characteristics of the audience or work with others to brainstorm them.

Work with other Digital Ambassadors to create an Audience Analysis of a potential group of older adults you may work with. The potential learners are referred to as your target audience. Use the document below to complete your Audience Analysis. Please note: You'll have to make a copy and share it with your teacher/coordinator.

Be careful to avoid potential bias and stereotypes. Just because a person needs help using their phone or computer does not mean they aren’t intelligent and highly accomplished in other areas.
