It's important to help users stay safe while they are using social media platforms. Some of the adults you work with will not have your expertise. They may need help and guidance as they venture into the social media world.

While there are so many opportunities to connect and explore, social media also presents unique challenges and risks. Privacy concerns, potential scams, and the permanence of online content are just a few of the topics you can review with older adults. This section is crafted to empower users with the knowledge and tools needed to enjoy social media's benefits while safeguarding personal information and well-being.

Every social media platform is different. Social media platforms also come and go. As a Digital Ambassador Team, try to determine which platforms are most requested and focus on those. Over time, you may add other social media platforms. Each platform has some similar aspects you should address so that older adults stay safe while using them. These include:
