Module 1: Being a Strong Communicator

Being a strong communicator involves more than just using the right words. Finding the right words to say is a part of it. How you say those words will also impact your message.

Your body language and facial expressions also impact your message. The way you interact with someone can also make your communication more or less effective. Many of these characteristics of verbal and nonverbal communication carry over to when you are communicating through writing.

When helping others to learn new things as a Digital Ambassador, you'll use professional oral and written communication skills.

This module will present some strategies you can use when working with someone in person, on the phone, or through email. This module focuses on email because it is one of the most common ways you communicate with others in writing.

You already bring your own style of communications to being a Digital Ambassador. You're not starting from scratch. This module will help you build on those skills so your interactions with others are the best they can be.
